I bought this after I read consumer reports.I usually keep a home phone for years, so I can tell you that yes, this phone is better than my previous one. I'm not a whole lot familiar with other phones or high tech phones that are out there, but for the price, this was a decent phone. It got kind of getting use to because it was smaller than my other phones, plus I dropped this phone alot and it still works.
We didn't need recording capabilities, so this phone works fine in our home office. The speaker-phone option works great, which was one of our criteria for purchase. Everything worked great right out of the box.
I really like this phone. My finger tips are large and I tend to hit two keys at once on this keyboard. It's attractive, has excellent sound quality and has performed well so far. I wish it had more spread apart and raised keys. I also wish it had an earphone jack. Even so, I would buy this phone again.
This is by far the worst cordless phone I have ever used. I bought the VTech DS6111 trusting the VTech name, and on the sleek styling of the phone and good looks. Extreme static on the line all the time. Bought on a whim at local store. Compared only to the looks of the other phones on display there. My friends and family usually call my home phone only to have me turn on my cell phone and call them back because the conversation is so affected. Terrible, I get mad everytime I have to use it.
Great phone overall. No interference, great sound quality, great range.We're very pleased. It even has different ring-tone options.Highly recommend this phone.
